Pajama Days: aquatic education… in pajamas
For 9 years, we have been dedicated to aquatic education and are always looking for new ways to introduce little ones to water. As you know, aquatic safety is the most important objective in swimming lessons. Thus, this spring we are proposing the national premiere of Pajama Days: a unique swimming lesson, which takes place ... in pajamas. For little swimmers, Pajama Days means fun, and for parents, the safe exposure of children to an unforeseen and dangerous situation - an accidental fall into the pool, while dressed. Little ones learn how to react in such a situation and can more easily manage the moment.
Why in pajamas?
If your little one accidentally falls into the pool, there's a chance he's not fully prepared. Even if he knows how to swim. Why? He doesn't have a swimsuit, a helmet, or goggles, it's not like he's used to in swimming lessons. He's probably fully dressed, in pants, a shirt, maybe even shoes. And being fully dressed in the water is a strange experience, which makes swimming more difficult - clothes are what make it difficult to move in the water.
So, together with our experienced instructors, we offer the little ones an opportunity to learn through a truly special method: swimming in their pajamas! The special lessons within the Pajama Days project take place throughout March, during the regular schedules of children learning to swim at Acvatic Bebe Club.
We hope that through this unique approach we can eliminate some of the surprise – often unpleasant – that comes with an accidental fall into the water. By teaching little ones to swim in their clothes as part of a fun and familiar lesson, we provide them with a safe environment in which to experiment. And if the unexpected happens, they will already know how to react, explains Carmen Dumitru - manager and founder of Acvatic Bebe Club.
During such an experience, children will unknowingly focus on vital skills that can save their lives: the ability to float, practicing aquatic breathing, practicing flips (from back to front and vice versa), they will gain confidence in the face of fear that can paralyze their reactions, they will participate in various games initiated by instructors and they will have a great time.

They will also become aware of the important rules that must be followed around pools: not to run, not to push each other, not to accept challenges to jump into the water while clothed, while at the same time gaining confidence in their abilities to deal with such a situation.
Who and how can participate in Pajama Days?
This unique experience is dedicated to children over 2 and a half years old, already initiated in aquatic education within our club. Before scheduling the pajama swimming session, an assessment from the child's instructor is required.
We also recommend that parents prepare their little ones for the aquatic education class experience by explaining the differences from the regular class.

If you would like your little one to participate in such a class, but you are not a subscriber to Acvatic Bebe Club, we invite you to request a free demo session, which we offer to children aged 4-36 months, based on an appointment and presentation medical opinionsIf your child will be attending aquatic education classes, you can register them for the next Pyjama Days session which will take place in the fall, also over two weeks. If you would like to participate in a demo session, you can contact us by email [email protected] or by phone at 0742.745.367.
