When and how do I choose the ideal place for aquatic education lessons?
Aquatic education is a great way to start a healthy lifestyle, a gift that lasts a lifetime! Did you know that babies can develop a passion for water and aquatic education?
Before the age of four months, the bathtub is a perfect place for your baby to begin developing a healthy relationship with this aquatic environment.
In its early formation, the child will experience a strong tactile stimulation of water resistance throughout the body. Water has over 600 times more resistance than air and thus encourages the development of the muscular system and neurological development. The more stimulation the child experiences to the nerves, the more the interconnections and neural pathways in the brain cells develop.
Early introduction to aquatic education is recommended because a baby is less influenced by negative attitudes about water. If parents start lessons later, it can be more difficult to get the child comfortable in the water. It often takes longer for the child to get used to the teacher, the water, the distractions of the pool, and diving.
Research has shown that aquatic education and, later, swimming lessons can make a child safer around water, as well as more confident in themselves in general. A 2009 study by Ruth Brenner and colleagues at the National Institutes of Health found that participation in formal aquatic education lessons can reduce the risk of drowning by 881% among children ages 1-4. The researchers concluded that aquatic education lessons have a “preventive effect” and “should be considered for inclusion as part of a comprehensive prevention program.”
And, there is another big bonus for a child who participates in aquatic education lessons: it helps them prepare for learning and school. Scientific studies of young swimmers at the German Sports College have shown that early stimulation in the water helps the child develop: physically, mentally and emotionally. Compared to a control group that did not take aquatic education lessons, children who participated consistently from infancy (three months) were significantly stronger and better coordinated when tested at 2, 3 and 4 years old. Emotionally, they were found to be more self-disciplined, with a greater dose of self-control and an increased desire to succeed. Setting goals and achieving swimming skills can help a child feel great about themselves and have a lot of confidence in themselves and their powers.
But how do we choose the ideal place where we know that our little one is safe, from all points of view?
First of all, we must be very careful about the services offered and the characteristics of the club. Always choose a specialized place, with people specially trained to work with babies. At Acvatic Bebe Club, each instructor has, in addition to training in the field of physical education, knowledge of pedagogy and child psychology.
Secondly, we must ensure that the place meets the hygiene requirements down to the smallest detail. That is why, at Acvatic Bebe Club, it is important to ensure that all babies and accompanying adults who enter the pool are completely healthy, which can only be proven by presenting the certificates requested by the club.
Thirdly, the conditions for carrying out the activity must be excellent. At Acvatic Bebe Club, water disinfection is done through a mixed system of ozone and UV rays with a direct effect on the quality and purity of the water, which in this way has no chlorine smell at all, and the automatic dehumidification system ensures automatic regulation of the humidity and temperature of the water and air.
We invite you to discover a fun and effective learning environment through a FREE DEMONSTRATION SESSION, dedicated to children between 4-36 months. Prior appointment and presentation of medical certificates requested by the club are required. For more details, visit www.acvaticbebeclub.ro or facebook.com/acvaticbebeclub.
