The role of aquatic education in training children’s immunity
Aquatic education for babies and preschoolers is one of the most beneficial activities, and the belief that it is intended only for the hot season is wrong. Practicing water activities in the cold, autumn and winter seasons is not at all counterproductive. On the contrary, going to water and swimming school is a healthy habit that strengthens the immune system of the little ones, preventing the flu, colds and other ailments.
In the continuation of our article we explain how aquatic education influences the immunity of the little ones, so read to the end, to be as informed as possible:
- Oxygenates the lungs – when a baby or baby comes in contact with water, the first skill they acquire is to breathe deeply. This type of breathing facilitates the flow of cerebrospinal fluid through the body, contributing to better overall oxygenation of both the brain and blood. The result is cleaner breathing, with a much lower chance of respiratory infections.
If the baby / baby is asthmatic, can he / she go to aquatic education? And in this case it is recommended that the little one go to aquatic education classes. Some medical professionals are against prolonged pooling of asthmatic children due to exposure to chlorine or other irritants that could cause an asthma rash. Therefore, it is recommended that you go with your baby / baby to the pools with water as natural as possible, without chlorine or other chemicals. We at Acvatic Bebe Club do not use chlorine in water treatment, but a mixed system of ozone and UV rays, so the aquatic environment is healthy and warm, ideal for improving the condition of children with asthma.
- Reduce stress – there is no doubt that stress is one of the greatest dangers of our times. And the little ones are not safe from its consequences. Stress greatly impairs the immune system’s ability to defend itself. To combat the negative effects of stress, aquatic education classes are an excellent therapeutic technique. Water relaxes the mind and body and, as a result, the immune system will be more active.
- Reduces the risk of injury – practicing water / swimming education throughout the year greatly reduces the chances of your baby or preschooler suffering from joint or muscle injuries. In their case, given that they are growing, aquatic education contributes to the optimal growth of bones and muscle groups. This ensures physical strength, which is so necessary in the body’s defense system.
